Aston Martin
Our Wunderman Thompson Austin office was asked to help on a global creative pitch for Aston Martin’s new vehicle, the DBX. The product’s value proposition: Aston Martin’s DBX packs the speed, handling and performance of a sports car built into the body of an SUV. This script I wrote for the pitch was very well received by the executive creative director and was chosen as “winner” to go in front of the client.

:60 TV – Twin Turbo
We open on a BEAUTIFUL SPY WOMAN frantically running through a house holding a briefcase. She yells into her earpiece, “In need of immediate evac! In possession of the package, but I’m compromised! Repeat, I’m compromised!!”
Men with assault rifles run towards the house shouting in a foreign language.
She runs to the kitchen, starts the oven and CUTS THE GAS LINE. The place is rigged to blow!!
RATATATAT! Gunfire. Crash! Glass shatters as she dives out the front window, rolls, and sprints towards the driveway.
Suddenly, a stunning SUV roars up and skids to a halt at the curb. It’s the all-new 2022 Aston Martin DBX!
The passenger door flies open. She tosses in the briefcase and dives in after it. VROOM! The SUV launches away with the satisfying growl of a twin-turbo V8 engine.
REVEAL: A MALE SPY (Perhaps Daniel Craig) is in the driver’s seat. And there are TWO CRYING INFANT CHILDREN in the back row strapped into car seats.
MALE SPY: “Did you secure the package?”
SPY WOMAN: “Yeah, both of them.”
Click. Click. The briefcase opens, revealing TWO CUTE STUFFED ANIMALS.
The female spy hands each baby a stuffed animal and the children immediately stop crying.
“Mission accomplished.” He says. “New car?” She asks.
(The man eyes the cute twin babies in the rearview mirror.) “Yup. Twin-turbo.”
They smirk. He taps a button on the vehicle’s sound system and “Wheels on the Bus” plays just as THE HOUSE EXPLODES!! “Theeeee wheels on the bus go --BOOOOOM!! And --BOOOOOOOM!!
Other cars SCREECH onto the road in pursuit. A helicopter rushes by and we slam to:

END OF SPOT.
